Edward Coleman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Coleman, was born in Cheridan (sic) county, Mo., August 26, 1884, and died at his home Monday, September 11, 1916. When he was two years of age he moved with his parents to Glasco. The boy received his education at Fisher Creek school and was always a favorite among the boys. In 1907 he was united in marriage to Ivy Bivin. At this time his father and mother moved to town and Eddie took over the farm and worked it very successfully. He enjoyed health up to a few years ago. The summers became very trying to him, especially this last summer. The family would have taken him to Colorado, but he was unable to go. He had a strong will power, which kept him always looking on the bright side. He was conscious up to the last moment and knew every one until a few minutes before his death. He leaves behind him a sorrowful and loving wife, father, mother and two sisters, one sister having preceded him to the Great Beyond. Eddy was a good boy, a kind husband and much respected and honored in this community and will be long remembered by a host of friends and never forgotten by the wife, father, mother and sisters. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Methodist church, Rev. Taylor speaking words of comfort to the bereaved ones. The church was crowded to over flowing, and with the beautiful hymns sung by the choir and the lovely floral offering, whispers in its way, peace to the sorrowful relatives left behind. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
