They were WILLIAM KAUFMAN who died at the home of his son Fred Kaufman west of Plattsmouth and his wife LINA (Franke) KAUFMAN, 83 who expired at the home of Mrs Viola Thayers granddaughter in Omaha. They were WILLIAM KAUFMAN who died at the home of his son Fred Kaufman west of Plattsmouth and his wife LINA (Franke) KAUFMAN, 83 who expired at the home of Mrs Viola Thayers granddaughter in Omaha. They both died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman were born in Germany. His birthday was September 27, 1860 and hers on July 11, 1859. They arrived in the United States in 1883, married in 1885, soon afterward, Plattsmouth became their life-long home where they raised seven children. Surviving the couple are: son, Fred of Plattsmouth and two daughters; Mrs Emma Gregg, Omaha; and Miss Nella Kaufman, Beverly Hills, California; Mrs. Kaufman also leaves behind a sister, Mrs. Bertha Buechler, Plattsmouth. There are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding them in death were their parents, son, Henry and daughter, Bertha. A double service for Mr. and Mrs. Kaufmann will be held at Sattler Funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 1946, with Rev. E.J. Martin presiding. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
