William married Anna Belle Patterson, daughter of Alexander Patterson and Julia Messenger, on February 5, 1891 in Farmington, Annapolis County. Read More	William Wilson Bent was born on June 7, 1858 in Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, British North America. He was the son of Seth Bent and Eliza Fairn. William married Anna Belle Patterson, daughter of Alexander Patterson and Julia Messenger, on February 5, 1891 in Farmington, Annapolis County. They were wed by license in a Methodist ceremony officiated by Rev. T. C. Hooper. Signing witnesses were Mr. & Mrs. Albert Berteaux. At the time, William was a 32-year-old Bridgewater train dispatcher and Anna, at age 20, was a resident of South Farmington. Neither the bride nor the groom had been married previous to taking these vows. William died, at age 78, on October 27, 1936 in Lawrencetown. He had been a station agent for some 50 years until his retirement in 1956. Dr. L. R. Morse's determination as to the cause, as stated on William's death record, was a coronary thrombosis due to myocardial valvular disease. The informant for the death registration was his wife, Anna. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of undertaker Crofton F. U. Whitman of Lawrencetown and interment took place on October 29, 1936 in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. His will, dated April 29, 1915, was recorded for probate on November 13, 1936. In the will he names his wife and three children, Percy L., Roy A., and Grace Bent.
