Description	:	Wilma L. Albertson, 89, of rural Robinson, died Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2010, at The Pines where she had been a resident since June. She previously had been a resident of Vintage Park Assisted Living Apartments in Hiawatha. Wilma was born on a farm south of Sabetha, December 12, 1920, one of nine children of Clay and Mary Bindle Goodman and was a lifelong resident of Brown and Nemaha Counties. Albertson, 89, of rural Robinson, died Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2010, at The Pines where she had been a resident since June. She previously had been a resident of Vintage Park Assisted Living Apartments in Hiawatha. Wilma was born on a farm south of Sabetha, December 12, 1920, one of nine children of Clay and Mary Bindle Goodman and was a lifelong resident of Brown and Nemaha Counties. She grew up south of Sabetha where she attended country school. Her family moved to Brown County when she was 16. Mrs. Albertson was a member of the Willis Garden Club. She enjoyed all things with farm life: homemaking, sewing, cooking, and canning the many things she raised in the garden. She married her neighbor Luther Albertson, May 24, 1941, at Everest, KS. They farmed, dairyed, and raised livestock near Robinson all of their married life. He died May 11, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister Verna Kosman; two brothers: Walter Goodman and Albert Goodman. Survivors include her son Wayne (Beverly) Albertson of rural Robinson; three brothers: Harry Goodman, Elvin Goodman, Robert Goodman, all of Sabetha; two sisters: Mildred Dade of Topeka, Lucille Kissel of Wetmore; three grandchildren: Diane Ward, Julie Dolezilek, Lance Albertson; and two great-grandchildren: Brenna & Mason Ward. Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, with Pastor Shane Spangler officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.
