Description	:	Yoshiko Landon passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Jackson, Ca. at the age of 87 years old with her daughter by her side. She was born November 9, 1933 in Aomori, Japan. She met and married her husband Wilbur when he was stationed in Japan while in the Navy. Settling in the Bay Area, they raised their three children there, until retiring and moving to Amador County where they had lived for over 30 years. Read More	Yoshiko Landon passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Jackson, Ca. at the age of 87 years old with her daughter by her side. She was born November 9, 1933 in Aomori, Japan. She met and married her husband Wilbur when he was stationed in Japan while in the Navy. Settling in the Bay Area, they raised their three children there, until retiring and moving to Amador County where they had lived for over 30 years. Yoshiko was a homemaker where she took care of her family with incredible care. After her children were grown, she spent countless hours doing volunteer work with the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and while able, she also travelled. Yoshiko was a devoted grandmother, always enjoying and looking forward to her times with her grandchildren. She was so proud of each and every one. Although her last few years she struggled physically, her strength was evident. The Lord gave her grace for a day at a time. Those that knew her could see her quiet, gentle spirit. She was generous and kind up until her last days. When independent living was no longer possible, she moved into Oak Manor and she came to know it as her “home”. She and her family will be forever grateful for the compassionate care she was given here. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Dale (and daughter in law Diane) Landon of Crystal Lake, IL and Sandra (and son in law Chris) Fragapane of Sutter Creek, Ca, and her grandchildren, Patrick, Sarah, Ryan, Steven, Matthew, Anna, Amanda, Emilee and Matthew. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur and her daughter Margaret. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
