Alan Verner Christensen was born on September 18, 1935 in Underwood, Iowa to Verner Walter and Julia Margaret Rasmussen Christensen. Survived by wife, Sally; two sons, Steve and Daniel; daughter, Mrs. Armando (Paula) Salinas; grandson, Lucas Salinas; Mother Julia Christensen; two brothers, Dale and Neil; sister, carol Livingston; nieces and nephews. Services were held Friday, July 22nd, at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Prescott, Chaplain, of Bethany Lutheran Home and Rev. Neal Zellinger, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church co-officiating. Interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Boomer Township, Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Family received friends at Meyer’s Funeral Home Thursday, July 21st from 7:00 to 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm.
