Description	:	Albert Clemens Rath, son of Michael and Christena Rath, was born in the southern part of Tiffin Township, Defiance county, Ohio on July 7, 1868 and departed this life at the home of his brother, Charles Rath, on July 21, 1924, aged 56 years and 14 days. He was the fourth of a family of six children. His brother, George preceded him in death August 11, 1903 and his father on January 14, 1920. Read More	Albert Clemens Rath, son of Michael and Christena Rath, was born in the southern part of Tiffin Township, Defiance county, Ohio on July 7, 1868 and departed this life at the home of his brother, Charles Rath, on July 21, 1924, aged 56 years and 14 days. He was the fourth of a family of six children. His brother, George preceded him in death August 11, 1903 and his father on January 14, 1920. When Bert was about 8 years old, his parents bought the farm in the northwest corner of the same township, which is still occupied by one of the family and here he grew to manhood. he attended the district school and worked on the farm with his father and brothers. The f arm was nearly all in woods and Bert worked industriously and in a few years became a skilled timber worker. He followed the occupation of a woodsman for a few years after which he worked on different farms in Defiance and Henry counties until failing health caused him to cease. He was brought to the home of his brother, Charles, where he received the most tender care until the end. Bert was never married. He leaves to mourn his departure his aged m other, one sister, Mrs. J.P. Huffman of Bryan and 3 brothers: Fred R. of Bryan, Samuel on the old farm and Charles E. of Washington township, also nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who will remember him as one who wronged no one. He was a member of the Order of Eagles of Defiance Aeria N. 372. The funeral service was held at the Charles Rath home Wednesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. G.C. Straun. Burial was in the Evansport cemetery. -The Bryan Press, July 31, 1924
