Mr. Rath, a retired farmer and lifelong resident of that county, had been in failing health for several years. Surviving are his wife, Phoebe; two sons, Raymond Rath, Stryker, and M.P. Burial was in the Evansport Cemetery. -The Bryan Times, July 5, 1955 Funeral services for Charles Rath, 81, a retired farmer, were held this morning at the Cretors and Kissell Funeral home, Bryan, with the Rev. S. J. Stratton officiating. Burial followed in Evansport cemetery. Mr. Rath died at his home six miles south of Bryan Sunday afternoon. He had been in failing health for several years. Surviving are his widow, Phoebe; two sons, Raymond Rath, Stryker and M.B. Rath, Lora; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Smith, Moline, Il., and Mrs. Catherine Corwin, Bryan.
