ALBERT E. G. PEIRCE Albert E. G. Peirce was born on July 9, 1867, in Warren, Mass., and died on May 5, 1950, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the youngest of six children born to Charles F. and Hannah F. Peirce. When he was five years of age he came with his family to Creighton, Nebr., and grew to manhood there. On Dec. 31, 1891, he was united in marriage to Evaline F. Vandenberg, and to this union were born, two sons and one daughter. He lived in Creighton for 14 years then moved to a farm in Holt County and lived there until 1918 when he came to Pawnee City. He was a great lover of music and for several years sang in the choir of the little country church in Holt County which he and his family attended. He was engaged in business in Fort Doge, Iowa, for some time, until failing health compelled him to retire to a nursing home where he was cared for until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, his two sons, Albert and Harold of Omaha, his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Johnson of Pawnee City, many other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon at Wherry's Chapel, and was conducted by the Rev. W. N. Wallis. Burial was in the Pawnee City cemetery.
