Aley Mae Richardson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Pierce Richardson, was born July 29, 1877 at Peoria, Ill., and departed this life Jan. 20, 1958 in Nelson at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Bruce, at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 22 days. In 1879 she moved with her family to Pawnee County, Bookwalter, Nebraska. On Febr. 2, 1898 she was united in marriage to Wilford Riley Porter at Lewiston, Nebr. To this union six children were born: Owen Pierce, Mrs. Marie Troudt, Mrs. Nina Mae Bruce, and Raymond of Nelson, and Mrs. Velmae McKevitt of Superior. She is also survived by three brothers, Clyde and Harry of Tecumseh, and Lloyd of Nelson; one sister, Nina Lytle of Lewiston; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Preceeding her in death were her husband, who passed away in 1936, and a daughter, Freda Ann, in 1907 at the age of one year. The family moved to Nelson in the spring of 1909 and then to a farm southwest of Nelson. In this community they lived until the health of Mr. Porter caused them to move to town in February, 1932. After his death she made her home with her daughter, Nina Mae. She was a chapter member of the Highland Helping Hand club from which she received much joy.
