The services were in charge of Rev. Arnold Thalacker, pastor of St. Peter and Paul's Lutheran church. During the service a duet, "Asleep in Jesus. " was sung by George Harms and Mayeda Wilken. Burial was made at the cemetery adjoining the church. Mrs. Tobiason was a pioneer resident of Wayne township. She has been in failing health for three years and had been bedfast since the middle of February. She is survived by six children, all living in this community. They are: Kathrlne, Mrs. Will Stutt; Dora, Mrs. Hayo Schoon; Emma; Mrs. Gerd Tholen and Michael, Henry, and Tobias Tobiason. Mrs. Tobiason was born at Marx, Germany, July 20, 1862. She came to the United States with a group of young people from that country in 1877. two years after her confirmation In the Lutheran church at Marx. She was married September 16, 1881 to Juergen Tobiason who preceded his wife in death, May 28, 1922. Mr. and Mrs. Tobiasson lived their entire married life on a farm in Wayne township. Their sons now occupy these farms. At one time Mr. Tobiason owned a farm of 840 acres in Wayne township.
