Description	:	Funeral services for Alvin, 37, who was fatally burned Wednesday afternoo in a tractor accident, which occured on a farm in Omaha at 67th & Reddick Ave. will be 2:30PM at the Gass Funeral Home, and Rev. Walter Jackson pastor of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery. The body was brought to the funeral home from Omaha this morning. Two companions beat out the flames on Alvin's clothing and he was taken to a area hospital, where he died shortly before midnight. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs Alfred Johnson and was born on 7-3-1905 on a farm near Albion. He attended country schools near Petersburg, and in 1924 moved to Columbus with his parents, and siblings. He was a driver for the Grey Taxi Cab Company in Columbus for 10 years and was a member of the Columbus Volunteer Fire Dept from 1929 until 1934 where he served as a relief fire trunk driver. He moved to Omaha where he had been employed by a Construction Co.,then the Benson elevator Co., then taking on employment on the farm. Survived by his parents, six sisters; Mrs. John Deal of Columbus, Mrs. Arthur Spoonmore of Pierre, S.D., Mrs. Carl Rinke of Richaland, Mrs. Ed. Liskeof of Omaha, Mrs. Frances Stemperof of Wahoo, Miss Lucille at home, and one brother, PFC Wilbur Johnson stationed at Fort Leonardwood, MO.
