Read More	Born in Koehler, Saratov, Volga, Russia ------------------- Ann Hesse, 98, Topeka, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at a Topeka nursing home. Mrs. Hesse had worked for Kansas Power and Light Co. and the Crosby Brothers and Pelletiers Department stores in Downtown Topeka for many years. She was born Jan. 3, 1903, in Koehler, Saratov, Russia, the daughter of Peter and Sophia Ruhl Leinacker. She moved to Topeka from Flush in 1917. Mrs. Hesse was a member of the Santa Fe Old-Timers Club and Assumption Catholic Church. She married Eugene W. Hesse on Sept. 1, 1941, in Topeka. He died July 4, 1966. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Hesse will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Assumption Catholic Church, 204 S.W.
