Description	:	Anna Maria Tilden, dau. of Dr. Charles and Anna Maria Buchanan Tilden, m. 17th Oct. 1843. She was the 2nd wife of George Burgin Westcott. They had one son, Charles Tilden Westcott. Her sister, Mary Elizabeth Tilden, married Nicholas Godfrey Westcott [who was George Burgin Westcott's nephew by his elder brother, Samuel Buck Westcott]. (Maryland Archives) Obituary Mrs. Anna Maria Westcott, relict of the late George B. Westcott, and mother of Senator Charles T. Westcott, passed quietly away at her home, Front street, on Thursday morning in the 85th year of her age. For several years past she has been feeble as a result of extreme age, and the end came on gradually but surely. The deceased was a Miss Tilden, daughter of Dr. Charles Tilden, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Kent. Funeral services were held at her late residence on Front street, on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Dr. S. C. Roberts. Interment at St. Paul's, the following acting as pall-bearers: C. F. Stam, Walter S. Trew, Edwin S. Valiant, Robert S. Emory, George B. Westcott, Richard D. Hynson, John Brice, M. W. Thomas.
