ANNA ENGSTER Mrs. Anna Engster was born in Fremont Township, Page County, Iowa, on December 13, 1873, the daughter of John and Clara Hart, and died on Thursday, October 18, 1962 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson. She was united in marriage to John Alfred Engster on March 6, 1901. They made their home in Nebraska for two years and then moved to this community. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mable Anderson and Mrs. Raymond (Alice) Nelson of Essex; Mrs. Russell (Lillian) Stearns, Oakland, California; Mrs. Bill (Florence) Schitzkus, Springfield, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Oscar Hart, Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Miss Tenie Hart, Essex; Her husband preceded her in death in 1965 and also a daughter, Helen, in infancy. Funeral services were held from the Fremont Evangelical Covenant Church Monday afternoon October 22, at 2:00 p.m.The pastor, Rev. Earl Swanson was in charge, assisted by Rev. Wayne Anderson, Mrs. Emil Youngberg had charge of the Memory Book and flowers were cared for by Mr. and Mrs. David C. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson. Ushers were Wesley Lundgren and Daniel Nelson. Mrs. Delbert Anderson was organist and accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Larson, who sand, "Homeward Bound," and "Day by Day.' Casket bearers were Clifford Abraham, Allen Hart, Lawrence Hart, Wesley Hart, Terry Johnson, and Willard Skalberg. Burial was in Essex Cemetery. ENGSTER'S RITES CONDUCTED FREMONT CHURCH Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Engster, who died October 18, 1962, were conducted from the Fremont Evangelical Covenant Church, Monday, October 22, 1962, at two o'clock. The Rev. Earl Swanson was the officiating clergyman. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Larson sang "Homeward Bound" and "Day By Day." They were accompanied by organist Mrs. Delbert Anderson. Caring for flowers were Mr. and Mrs. David C. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson. The memory book was in charge of by Mrs. Emil Youngberg. Ushers were Wesley Lundgren and Daniel Nelson.
