Arnita was born May 19, 1915, to her parents, Riley and Rebecca Chadwell, on a farm near Fairview, Kan. Arnita Chadwell was joined in marriage to Lyle Yingling on Aug. 31, 1941. Read More	------------------------------------------------------- Arnita (Chadwell) Yingling, TROY, Kan. 1915 - 2009 TROY, Kan. — Arnita (Chadwell) Yingling, Troy, died April 11, 2009 at her home in Troy. Arnita was born May 19, 1915, to her parents, Riley and Rebecca Chadwell, on a farm near Fairview, Kan. Arnita Chadwell was joined in marriage to Lyle Yingling on Aug. 31, 1941. Lyle survived her for only a few hours before meeting her in heaven to spend eternity. Lyle passed away the same day at a health care center in Wathena, Kan. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1933 and worked several years at the Schroffs Grocery and Bakery in Hiawatha, Kan., before moving to Troy in 1942. Arnita and Lyle were foster parents for many years. Arnita loved to sew and quilt and play cards with her family and friends. She was a member of the Troy Christian Church, Christian Women Fellowship of the Church and a member of the Troy American Legion Auxiliary of which she was treasurer for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Karen; six sisters; three brothers. Survivors include four sons, David, Kansas City, Mo., Duane, Columbia, Mo., Jerry, Wathena, Jason, Troy: seven granchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Chadwell; numerous nieces and nephews. A joint Memorial Service for Arnita and Lyle will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Troy Christian Church with Pastor Dave Burtis officating. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Troy. Memorials: Building Fund for Troy Christian Church, Troy Ambulance Fund, or Northeast Kansas Hospice.
