Yingling, Troy, died April 11, 2009, at a health care center in Wathena, Kan. Lyle was born on Oct. 21, 1913, to his parents, Granville and Bertha Yingling, on a farm near Hiawatha, Kan. Yingling, Troy, died April 11, 2009, at a health care center in Wathena, Kan. Lyle was born on Oct. 21, 1913, to his parents, Granville and Bertha Yingling, on a farm near Hiawatha, Kan. Lyle was joined in marriage to Arnita Chadwell on Aug. 31, 1941. Arnita preceded him in death six hours earlier on Saturday morning, April 11, 2009. Lyle graduated from Powhattan High School and worked on the farm for several years before going to the Army in 1942. Lyle served with the 104th Division Quarter Master Company in Europe during World War II. After returning to Troy in 1945, Lyle worked for Standard Oil Company for 16 years, Lyons Oil Company for 15 years and was a bus driver for the Troy School District for 15 years. He was a member of the Troy Christian Church, Louis B. Weinberg American Legion Post No. 55 and the Troy Lions Club as a Chartered Member and which he was very active for many years. Lyle loved to fish and hunt and raised his sons to fish and hunt with him which they all enjoyed doing as a family. He was also an avid mushroom hunter. He is preceded on death by his parents; an infant daughter, Karen; three brothers. Survivors include four sons, David, Kansas City, Mo., Duane, Columbia, Mo., Jerry, Wathena, Jason, Troy: seven granchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A joint Memorial Service for Arnita and Lyle will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Troy Christian Church with Pastor Dave Burtis officating. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Troy. Memorials: Building Fund for Troy Christian Church, Troy Ambulance Fund, or Northeast Kansas Hospice.
