Dankert of Cairo Dies - Arthur Emil Dankert, 67, brother of Albert Dankert of Palmer, died Thursday evening last week at the family home northeast of Cairo following a heart attack.... Dankert of Cairo Dies - Arthur Emil Dankert, 67, brother of Albert Dankert of Palmer, died Thursday evening last week at the family home northeast of Cairo following a heart attack.... Mr. Dankert was a well-known farmer of the Cairo, Boelus and Dannebrog communities. He was born March 11, 1893 at Worms to Emil and Ida Dankert. He attended the Lutheran parochial school at Worms and for six years, attended St. Paul College at Concordia, Mo., from which he was graduated in 1914. He served with the Army in World War I, with several month overseas duty in France. On March 3, 1923 he was married to Alice Hamann at Lincoln. They made their home on a farm south of Grand Island, later at Palmer, and for the past 28 years on the present family farm. Mr. Dankert was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Worms and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church at Cairo. He had served as a member of the church board. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Donald Schultz, Cairo, and Mrs. Virgil Becker, St. Paul; one son, Earl, Dannebrog; six grandchildren; three brothers, Armin of Grand Island, Albert of Palmer and Martin of Omaha; six sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Heider, St. Libory, Mrs. Fred Ottomoeller and Mrs. Frieda Nietfield, both of Grand Island, Mrs. Ed Wegener, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mrs. Howard Martin, Reseda, Calif., and Mrs. Lloyd Bowers, Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
