Description	:	Funeral services were held Friday last week for Herbert Dankert, who passed away suddenly Monday, April 10, while at work in the basement of the Lutheran parsonage at Worms. Herbert A. J. Dankert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dankert, was born on the farm south of Palmer, Nebraska on September 19, 1894 and passed away on April 10, 1950 at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 22 days. Read More	Funeral services were held Friday last week for Herbert Dankert, who passed away suddenly Monday, April 10, while at work in the basement of the Lutheran parsonage at Worms. Herbert A. J. Dankert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dankert, was born on the farm south of Palmer, Nebraska on September 19, 1894 and passed away on April 10, 1950 at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Nietfeldt on June 14, 1917 at Worms. To this union were born three sons: Alfred of St. Libory, Melvin and Elton at home; four daughters: Mrs. Mildred Niermeier and Mrs. Laraine Fleischacker, both of Ludell, Kansas, Mrs. Florence Kanter of Palmer and Mrs. Wilma Uden of Hastings; and thirteen grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers, Arthur of Dannebrog, Armin of Grand Island, Martin of Omaha, Albert of Palmer, Ernest of Palmer and Richard of Central City; six sisters: Mrs. Fred Ottemueller, Mrs. Ferdinand Heider and Mrs. Alfred Niedfeldt, all of Grand Island; Mrs. Minnie Niermeier of Ludell, Kansas, Mrs. Howard Martin of Roseda, Calif; and Miss Alma Dankert of Los Angeles, Calif. His father and mother preceded him in death. Mr. Dankert was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran faith, and was confirmed July 4, 1909 as a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Worms. He has lived in this community all his life. He was a man of cheerful and happy disposition and leaves a large number of relatives and friends, who extend sympathy to his family for the loss of so fine a father and loving husband.
