Description	:	From The Palmer Journal, Thursday, December 1, 1960, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Funeral Services For Mrs. Frieda Nietfeld - Mrs. Frieda Nietfield [sic], widow of Alfred Nietfield and a native of the Worms community in Merrick County, died early Sunday morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Meyer, at Lincoln. Death came unexpectedly and was attributed to a heart attack.... Mrs. Nietfield was born June 9, 1900 on a farm near Worms to Emil and Ida Quandt Dankert. Read More	From The Palmer Journal, Thursday, December 1, 1960, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Funeral Services For Mrs. Frieda Nietfeld - Mrs. Frieda Nietfield [sic], widow of Alfred Nietfield and a native of the Worms community in Merrick County, died early Sunday morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Meyer, at Lincoln. Death came unexpectedly and was attributed to a heart attack.... Mrs. Nietfield was born June 9, 1900 on a farm near Worms to Emil and Ida Quandt Dankert. She attended the parochial school of Zion Lutheran Church at Worms. She and Alfred Nietfield were married June 30, 1920 at Worms. They began their home on a farm in the Worms vicinity and resided there all of their wedded life. Mr. Nietfield was a general farmer and stockman. Mr. Nietfield died March 29, 1956, following a long illness. From that time, Mrs. Nietfeld had divided her time with her children until moving to Grand Island to make her home in 1957. In June of this year, she went to Omaha and for the past three weeks, she had been with her son-in-law and daughter in Lincoln. She is survived by two sons, Reuben Nietfeld and Elmer Nietfeld, both of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Cornelius, Grand Island, Mrs. Harold Johnson of Omaha and Mrs. Orville Meyer of Lincoln; three brothers, Armin Dankert of Grand Island, Albert Dankert of Palmer and Martin Dankert of Omaha; five sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Heider, St. Libory, Mrs. Fred Ottemoeller, Grand Island, Mrs. Ed Wegner, Royal, Ark., Mrs. Howard Martin, Reseda, Clif., and Mrs. Lloyd Bowers, Aurora; and by 15 grandchildren. Besides her husband and her parents, Mrs. Nietfeld was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Herbert, Richard and Ernest Dankert.
