Mr. Dankert was born March 22, 1906 at St. Libory to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dankert. He attended parochial schools in Worms and was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church at Worms. He was graduated from Concordia Teachers College at Seward in 1931 and later acquired his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. Mr. Dankert was born March 22, 1906 at St. Libory to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dankert. He attended parochial schools in Worms and was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church at Worms. He was graduated from Concordia Teachers College at Seward in 1931 and later acquired his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. He taught in the parochial schools at Gladstone, Lyons and Polk. He and Miss Martha Heitmann were married August 15, 1943 at Omaha. They made their home at Polk, where he taught for four years in a parochial school. In 1947 they moved to the farm seven miles north of Central City. During his residence at Central City, Mr. Dankert had been an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife and four children, Paul, Roger, Mark and Lois Ann, all at home; five brothers, Arthur of Dannebrog, Armin of Grand Island, Albert of Palmer, Martin of Omaha and Ernest of St. Libory; six sisters, Mrs. Clara Heider of St. Libory, Mrs. Rosa Ottemoeller and Mrs. Frieda Nietfelt of Grand Island, Mrs. Minnie Wegener of Hot Springs, Ark., Mrs. Irma Martin of Reseda, Cal., and Mrs. Alma Bowers of Aurora.
