Sederburg stating that the wife and mother had passed away. It was a severe shock to the family and to the many friends. Only two short weeks ago she was strong and full of life and now she lies cold in death. It seems almost more than we can understand. Friday, May 12th Mr. Sederburg went home and found her lying on the couch suffering from an attack of heart trouble, the first she has ever had. The following Monday, she gave birth to a son and all was going along splendidly when several days afterward, she was again stricken with heart trouble, which was pronounced leakage of the heart. A nurse was procured and everything done to relieve her suffering and she did seem to be improving and on Sunday and Monday she seemed very much better. Between eight and nine that evening she grew suddenly worse and at the hour of nine passed away. Wife and mother is taken from husband and children when she is most needed and are prone to wonder why such things are brought about. The husband is grief stricken, five children are left motherless, some of them to grow up without a mother's love and care. Beda Oliva Bengtson was born in Ving Parish, Vastergottland, Sweden, May 9th, 1873, and at the time of death was 43 years, and 13 days old. She came to America with her parents April 1st, 1883. She was married to Frank E. Sederburg, October 5th, 1898. To this union six children were born, Florence, Leonard, Bernard, Sherman, Warner, and the baby, all living except Bernard, who died when about one year old. Mrs. Sederburg was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church and was always a loyal and faithful woman, both in her home and in the church. She was a lady who counted her friends by her acquaintances and she will be greatly missed in the community as well as in the home. Besides husband and children, she is mourned by her father, Mr. Sam Bengtson, two sisters, Mrs. B. H. McClintock and Mrs. Flay Jackson, and two brothers, Charles and Erick. Her mother passed from this life June 19th, 1906 and a sister, Mrs. Joe Hart, died several years ago. Her funeral is being held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian Church on account of the Lutheran Church undergoing repairs, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. A. Holmen and is attended by a very large number of friends who have come to pay their last respects to one whom they knew and loved so well. Let us, if possible gather up the elements of the life of the departed one and weave of them a picture for the walls of memory. The book of life was opened and a new name was written therein by the hand of love. Soon would the unfolding beauties of spring time have charmed her coming. Today the eternal springtime with everlasting glories belong to our sister. Her life was a rare jewel, her spirit as gold refined in fire, ready for heaven. These flowers are emblems of our love but God had bidden her welcome to that mansion which He hath prepared, where are the songs of the redeemed. She ran the journey of her life for 43 years. It is a path marked with deeds of kindness and cheer. Flowers, not thorns; sunshine, not shadow; did she scatter everywhere. Truth was the inspiration of her life and by kindness she exemplified its great worth. Beautiful in life, beautiful in death, but far more beautiful in the glorious resurrection mourn. Flowers seem to be the best emblem we have to express our love, for we weave them around the cradle, the marriage alter, and the tomb.
