She was born May 25, 1915, at North Cedar in Jefferson County, a daughter of Edward and Millie Hosier Gordon. She moved from Topeka to Fairview in 1968. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church in Topeka and attended St. Augustine's catholic Church at Fidelity while she lived in Fairview. She also was a member of the Quindicum Club, Fairview Civic Club, and Fairview Senior Citizens. Her first husband, Cloice "Ike" Cox, died in 1966. She was married to Robert Meyer of Fairview July 1, 1972. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Darlene Colboch and Mrs. Wanda Teske, both of Topeka, Mrs. Lariee Harr, The Woodland, Texas, and Mrs. Sue Watts, Great Falls, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Irene Scott, Ozawkie; a brother, Orville Gordon, Ozawkie; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. Later services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Mount Hope Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Meyer will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 8:15 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American cancer Society or American Kidney Foundation.
