Billy was born on October 22, 1943, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late N.C. and Gertrude Hall Stevens. He was a forklift operator for Tupperware, where he worked for 30 years and he also worked for 10 years at Huish. Read More	Billy Stevens October 22, 1943 - July 19, 2020 Billy Stevens, 76, of Bonicord, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his residence. Billy was born on October 22, 1943, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late N.C. and Gertrude Hall Stevens. He was a forklift operator for Tupperware, where he worked for 30 years and he also worked for 10 years at Huish. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army 3 SQDN of 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment during the Vietnam War in 1965. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Divide-60 and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Billy was a member of Dyersburg Church of God. Fishing, hunting, reading books, traveling and working word search books were some of his favorite hobbies. Billy loved to go to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and having fun. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship, TN. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Deaton Stevens; and a son, Bryan Keith Stevens. Pallbearers will be Stephen Leake, Austin Purvis, Adam Purvis, Dustin Rigsby, Jason Funderburk and Brad Damas. Honorary pallbearers will be Lindsey Deaton, Aubrey Leake, Eddie Jones, Scotty Leake and Glendale Brasfield.
