Description	:	Bobby Lee McDaniel, of Friendship Tennessee died at his home on Christmas day after a five year illness. He was a self-employed farmer cattleman landowner and owner of American Quarter Horses which was his hobby. His father, Josh McDaniel, preceded him in death in 1982. Read More	Bobby Lee McDaniel, of Friendship Tennessee died at his home on Christmas day after a five year illness. He was a self-employed farmer cattleman landowner and owner of American Quarter Horses which was his hobby. His father, Josh McDaniel, preceded him in death in 1982. He is survived by his mother Evie Maie Spry McDaniel of Alamo TN and a sister Rita McDaniel Camp of Arlington TN. He lived in the Friendship area and farmed his entire life. He was a self-employed farmer cattleman landowner and owner of American Quarter Horses which was his hobby. As a child he attended elementary school at Helen's Bluff and graduated from Friendship High School in 1954. He played the position of catcher in baseball and guard in basketball while in high school and continued to be an avid sports fan. From 1954 to 1964 he served in the United States Naval Reserve in Millington TN. As high school sweethearts he and his wife Janice Park McDaniel married in 1954 and would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in April 2004. Mr. McDaniel is a member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church where he served as song leader and on numerous committees during his younger years. In 1975 Mr. McDaniel was elected to succeed his father-in-law Tom Park on the Crockett County Commission. He served his constituents in District 1 for 25 years until he retired in May 2001. In addition to his mother and sister Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife Janice Park McDaniel; his daughter Jana Lee Ellis and son-in-law Chancellor George Ellis of Dyer; and his son Timothy Park McDaniel and daughter-in-law Kimberly of Germantown He has four grandchildren Hamilton Wesley Ellis and Georgia Lee Ellis of Dyer Timothy Park McDaniel Jr. and William Rogers McDaniel of Germantown. Visitation for Mr. McDaniel will be at Friendship Funeral Home on Saturday December 27 2003 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Services will be at Friendship Funeral Home on Sunday December 28 2003 with interment at Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship
