Having moved to the Glasco community at the age of seven years, she lived here all her life, with the exception of six years spent in Norton county. On February 17, 1893, she was united in holy matrimony with Henry J. Romeiser, and to this union were born nine children, eight of whom survive, namely: Margaret Berndt, Ota Grittman, Marion, all of the Glasco area; Freda Gottfrid, Assaria, Kansas; Arnold and Clarence of Salina, Lawrence of North Platte, Neb.; and Carol Macklin, of Peck, Kansas. She has two sisters, Mrs. Clara Pinkall of Tabitha Home, Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Emma Spicher of Glasco, both of whom survive. Twenty-two grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Romeiser was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and a daughter, Wilma Horn. Having believed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Mrs. Romeiser confessed and confirmed her faith unto eternal life in this fellowship of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and remained a faithful and respected member of the same through these years. Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church Thursday, October 12, 1961, at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Paul Rowoldt officiating. Organ music was by Mrs. Virginia Halderson. Pallbearers were Don Studt, Charles Studt, Noble Spicher, Max Martin, Edmund Horn, and Ed Horn. Interment was in Glasco cemetery with Dean Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
