She emigrated to America with her parents and other members of the family in 1871 at the age of 12 years. They lived a few years in Michigan before coming to Kansas. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Church, having been baptized when a small child and later confirmed. She also was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid for many years. She emigrated to America with her parents and other members of the family in 1871 at the age of 12 years. They lived a few years in Michigan before coming to Kansas. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Church, having been baptized when a small child and later confirmed. She also was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid for many years. She attended church as long as she was able to go, and enjoyed going. She was a good friend and neighbor and was content to be at home. She was married to Conrad Romeiser November 21, 1878, in Glasco, Kansas, and started housekeeping on a farm four miles northwest of Glasco, where she resided until March 1912, when she left the farm to make her home in Glasco, where she passed away January 26, 1941. Two sons preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn two sons, Herman of Stockton, Kansas; and Henry of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Talley of Wamego, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Smail, Mrs. Leonora Kellogg and Louise Romeiser, all of Glasco; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Interment was made in Glasco cemetery.
