Description	:	Charles Kruse Rites Dec. 20 At Sidney Charles F. Kruse died suddenly after 9 o'clock Tuesday evening December 14, when driving his car from Sidney ro his home by the overpass just east of Sidney. Mr. Kruse was at the wheel of his car and just at the top of the overpass when evidently suffered a heart attack. His brother Henry , who was in the front seat with him, noticed that something was wrong and grabbed the wheel guiding the car down the grade to the house. Kruse died suddenly after 9 o'clock Tuesday evening December 14, when driving his car from Sidney ro his home by the overpass just east of Sidney. Mr. Kruse was at the wheel of his car and just at the top of the overpass when evidently suffered a heart attack. His brother Henry , who was in the front seat with him, noticed that something was wrong and grabbed the wheel guiding the car down the grade to the house. He then called the Doctor but death was almost instantaneous and occurred at about 9:07 o'clock p.m. Sheriff W.W. Schultz said Mr. Kruse had been ailing for about 3 days it was reported, but it was not believed to be anything serious, he had been out buying stock and visiting with friends as usual that day. He had not been in good health since 1945. Mr. Kruse, awell known stock buyer and horse raiser in this vicinity and highly respected and had a host of friends . He came to Sidney in 1941 from Valentine, Ne, where he had farmed for sometime. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Kruse, born June 11, 1885 at Crofton, Ne. ; where he grew to manhood and was well known there. He died at the age of 63 yrs., 6 mo., 3 days. Survivors include two sons, Nels of Lodgepole, Ne.; Dale of SiouxVilla and two daughters, Wanda & Patty Ann of Sidney, Ne. Brothers & sisters are; Jenny McCain, Los Angeles, Ca., Marie Hinman of Crofton, Ne., Chris Kruse of Crofton, Ne., Paul & Gus Kruse of Bloomfield, Ne., Henry Kruse of Sidney, Ne Funeral Services were held Monday Dec.20, at 2p.m. from the Gehring Funeral Home with the Rev. C.B. Johnson of the Nazarine Church in charge. The following Hymes were sung, " The Old Rugged Cross", and "We Are Going Down Valley One By One"; " God Bless You Till We Meet Again". Pallbearers were John Jessop, Emerold Rupp, Andy Rapp, John Moseman, Ralph Carlson, William Rezac, Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Out of town relatives attending were: Mr. & Mrs. Nels Kruse, Lodgepole; Mrs. Harry Hinman, Crofton; Rev. Fred C. Kruse, Denver, Colo.
