Description	:	Kris Kruse Death Here January 19 Funeral services for Kris Kruse, 81, will be conducted today, January 24, at the Congregational church in Crofton with student pastor Dan Haggard officiating. the body will lay in state at the church from one o'clock p.m. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hinman, Harvey McCain, Milton Kruse of Crofton, Marvin and Myron and Wayne Juel of Yankton, all nephews of the deceased. Kristin Kruse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kruse, was born May 15, 1881 at Bremen, Germany and died at his home in Crofton on Saturday, January 19, at 5 p.m. from a heart attack. He was three weeks old when he came with his parents to the United States to settle in Ynakton. They had lived there a year when his father took up a homstead in 1882 northwest of Crofton in the Blyville Community. He attended school in the community and grew to young manhood there. Except for three years spent in Philip, S.D. the deceased has always lived in the Crofton vicinity. In 1958 he retired and moved to Crofton to live in a trailor home at the residence of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hinman. He is survived by his sister Mrs. Harry Hinman and 23 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paretns, three sisters and six brothers.
