Mr. Kruse has five brothers and 2 sisters, Henry of Hot Springs, S.D., Charles of Sidney, Mrs. Jenny McCain of L.A., Cailf., Gustave, Chris and Paul of Bloomfield, Mrs. Harry Hinman of Crofton. Mr. Kruse never married, but two brothers Dietrick and Chris lived together. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Evangalich Lutheran Church. Kruse Rites Friday Born in 1871 in Germany Succumbs After Long Illness Dietrick Henry Kruse, was born July 8, 1871 at Liepe Delmol?, Germany, the oldeat son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kruse, and passed away Nov. 7, at Scared Heart Hospital at Yankton, S.D. Following several months illness due to a heart ailment and much of the time he spent in the hospital. He was 72 years old, and 4 months of age at the time of his death. In the year 1881 he came with his parents to America locating at Yankton, South Dakota, where they spent 1 year then hsi father homsteaded 7 miles northwest of Crofton, where he grew to manhood. Mr. Kruse was educated in the rural schools of Knox. County and Theological College at Berger, Missouri. Teaching school there one year before returning to Knox County, where he engaged in farming and in 1898 purchased a farm joining that of his parents. He gave up farming this last year owing to his health. Mr. Kruse never married and Chris, his brother resided with him. Mr. Kruse was an honest and upright citizen ever ready to give assisstence to a neighbor in need and was well prepared to meet his Savior. Surviving Mr. Kruse are five brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Jenny McCain, of Los Angles, Calif., Paul and Gustave Bloomfield, Charles, Sidney, Henry Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Chris and Mrs. Marie Hinman of Crofton. Also 24 nieces and nephews. With Mr. Kruse at the time of his death was brother Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hinman and Blanche Hinman. His parents, two sisters, and a brother proceded him in death. Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Evangelich Rural Church northwest of Crofton with the Rev. J. Jochens officiating and the internment was in the church cemetery, where the parents and one sister are resting. Sol Walker sang several beatiful selections accompanied by Mrs. Walter at the piano. Pallbearers were chosen from neighbors and friends including, John Medendorp, Otto Sage, Herman ZartSr. Fred Fiscus, Clifford Stockings, Glen Huddleston. Flower girls included Mrs. Glen Huddleston, Mrs. Herman Zart Jr., Mrs. Ed Keck, Mrs. Henry Kollars, and Mrs. Clifford Stockings. the funeral was largley attended and the flower offerings were beautiful. A sister Mrs. Jenny McCain of Los Angles, Calif. was unable to attend the funeral. a niece Blance Hinman of Yankton attended.
