At a marriage service in the courthouse in Elk Point, South Dakota, on December 11, 1907, she was united in marriage to Mr. John William Lawrence. Harrison was born in Ponca, Nebraska April 18, 1889. Her parents were Henry and Lovina Harrison. At a marriage service in the courthouse in Elk Point, South Dakota, on December 11, 1907, she was united in marriage to Mr. John William Lawrence. They made their home on a farm east of Westfield, Iowa, and farmed in that area until 1937. Mr. Lawrence secured employment with the Milwaukee Railroad at that time and they moved into a home in Westfield. He retired from the railroad in the. 1940s, but they continued residence here in Westfield until 1967. She was during much of her life active in the Westfield Congregational Church and regretted leaving this area for she would find it hard to leave her church. She and her husband lived in Sioux City during the last nine years of her life and she just lately began residence in the Westwood Home there. She leaves to mourn her departure: her husband, John William Lawrence; her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Huls of Sioux City; her two sons, Clifford W. Lawrence and' Harold K. Lawrence, both of Sioux City; her 10 grandchildren; her 20 great grandchildren; her two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Kilena Beavers of Gregory, South Dakota; her other relatives and friends. Her daughters, Charlotte Lawrence and Mrs. Darlene Bombar, preceded her in death. The funeral service in her memory was held at the Westfield Congregational Church, Friday afternoon, October 1,1976, with Pastor David J. Roy of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Mrs. Florence Knapp was organist and accompanied Mrs. Shirley Banks as she sang "Nearer, My God,. To Thee" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Russell F. Davis, Eugene L. Huls, Kenneth W. Huls, Robert Huls, Richard E. Youds and Wallace D. Youds were Casket Bearers. Interment under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville.
