Description	:	Claude Jacobs, 78, of Hayesville, died Saturday in the Rest Haven nursing home about 4:40 p.m. He had been a patient at the home since February 28, 1957. He was born November 16, 1878 near Hayesville, the son of William and Arlinda Runyan Jacobs. On November 16, 1899 he was married to Almyra Reynolds of Lancaster. He was born November 16, 1878 near Hayesville, the son of William and Arlinda Runyan Jacobs. On November 16, 1899 he was married to Almyra Reynolds of Lancaster. Mrs. Jacobs passed away January 19, 1956. As a young man he was a rural school teacher and later he became a farmer. All but two years of his life had been spent in the Hayesville community. He is survived by his five sons, Robert and Eugene of Sigourney; Calvin, Carroll and William of Hayesville; and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Bensmiller of Haysville, Mrs. Sherman VanOrsdall of Hedrick and Mrs. Kenneth Coble of What Cheer. There are 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Reynolds funeral chapel with the Rev. W. H. Cross in charge. Burial was in Pennington cemetery.
