He was born Apr. 30, 1906, near Sigourney, to Claude and Myra Reynolds Jacobs. He married Eloise Mertz on June 22, 1935, at the Little Brown church in Nashua. (Stormy) Jacobs, 84, of Sigourney, died Fri., Dec. 14, 1990, at the Sigourney Care Center. He was born Apr. 30, 1906, near Sigourney, to Claude and Myra Reynolds Jacobs. He is survived by his wife, Eloise; a daughter, Barbara Smith and her husband Leonard of Sigourney; three brothers, Eugene and Calvin of Sigourney and Carroll of Vancouver, Wash.; and two sisters, Viola Bensmiller of Sigourney and Ruth Fry of Delta. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert and a sister, Bessie Van Orsdall. Funeral service were held on Mon., Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney with the Rev. Danny Lemons officiating. Marilyn Mertz was the organist and Holly Martin, vocalist, Casketbearers were Ron Glandon, Frank Jacobs, Sr., Frank Kerkove, William Mertz, Charles Sigafoose, Ronald Strohman. Interment was in Pennington Cemetery, Sigourney. Reynolds Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
