She was born Jan. 2, 1909, in West Lancaster Township near Sigourney to Claude and Almyra Reynolds Jacobs. She married Frank Ivan Bensmiller on May 1, 1930, in Sigourney, he died Nov. 2 1974. She attended Basey country school and graduated from Sigourney High School in 1928. She and her husband farmed for six years and moved to Sigourney in 1960. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers, Robert, William "Stormy," Carroll and Calvin "Jack" Jacobs; and a sister, Bessie Van Orsdall. Services will be held Thursday Jan. 6 at Hohn Funeral Home in Sigourney with the Rev. Vince Homan officiating. Burial will be in the Pennington Cemetery near Sigourney. Memorials may be made to the family.
