Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. The Revs. N.A. Hannemann and Steven Heinsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery at Norfolk. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Home For Funerals in Norfolk. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Home For Funerals in Norfolk. Mrs. Frank was born April 16, 1908, in Mira Valley south of Ord to George and Augusta (Bremer) Lange. Survivors of the immediate family include three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Helen Frank of Norfolk, Donald and Sherry Frank of Waterloo, Iowa, and Marvin and Pat Frank of Lincoln; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ellen Simon of Henderson, Lorene and Martin Janssen of Hastings, Phyllis Vantine of Aloha, Ore., and Jan and Richard Hadenfeldt of Dannebrog; a sister, Ella Meyer of Tilden; and a sister-in-law, Vera Lange of Ord. Cora was also survived by 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She attended rural Valley County schools and graduated from Ord High School in 1927. She taught school until her marriage to Ernest Frank on Aug. 21, 1930, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ord. They lived at Shelton, Ord and Loup City prior to moving to Norfolk in 1944. In 1960, they moved to Seward, where they worked at Concordia College. After her retirement in 1972, they returned to live in Norfolk. Due to her failing health, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Village in 2000. Cora was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk at the time of her death. She had been very active in church work prior to her health problems. She was a member of Lutheran Laymen's League, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Christ Lutheran Ladies Circle, Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid and Concordia Guild. She made quilts, was a volunteer teacher's aide at Christ Lutheran school, sang in the choir, taught piano and served as accompanist and vocalist at numerous functions. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Wilcox; sons-in-law, Dale Simon, Richard Wilcox and Cliff Vantine; four grandsons; five brothers and a sister.
