Description	:	Miss Daisy Dell Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson (sic) Davenport, was born in Republic County, Kansas, near Chester, Nebraska, May 23, 1888, and departed this life at the St. Joseph hospital (sic), Concordia, Kansas, July 15, 1948, at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 22 days. She grew to womanhood in this neighborhood and was united in marriage to Mr. William Henry Fraley, December 12, 1905. She grew to womanhood in this neighborhood and was united in marriage to Mr. William Henry Fraley, December 12, 1905. To this union were born six boys and one girl, one boy, Clarence Alvin, having preceeded her in death at the age of ten in 1921. Most of her married life was spent in Beatrice, Nebraska. The family returned to Chester in 1946 living north and east of town. She became a member of the Methodist church (sic) in early life and recent years became a member of the Christian Science church (sic) having her membership at Belleville, Kansas. Mrs. Fraley was skillful with her hands in needle and art work, a good mother and a faithful wife. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband; six children, Lloyd Henry of Chester, Ray Melvin of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Cecil Clay of Santa Clara, Calif., Elmer Leroy of Watertown, South Dakota, Lawrence Andrew of Littleton, Colorado, and Mrs. Lucille Porter of Los Angeles, Calif.; one step daughter, Mrs. Ethel Thorman of Hebron, Nebr.; six brothers; three sisters; thirteen grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 18th, at 2:00 o'clock from the Christian church (sic) at Chester. Rev. C.M. Foust officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Ilo Crouse, Ina May Reed, Glen Davenport and Melvin Davenport. The pallbearers were Edward Reed, Howard Reed, Melvin Crouse, Donald Eickman, Wayne Corbit and James Wessel. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic).
