Description	:	AUBURN - Dale I. Knapp, 86, of Auburn died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at DeKalb Health in Auburn. Mr. Knapp worked for Modern Air in Waterloo for over 34 years, retiring in 1988. He also worked most of his life as a local farmer. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis L. and Deidre Knapp of Coldwater, Mich.; a daughter, Cheryl A. Carnahan of Auburn; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Reba and Kenny Sliger of Avilla, Janet and Ludwig Groen of Remington; and Myrna and Paul Demske of Avilla; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Helen Knapp of Sarasota, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews including his special work mates, David and Michael Knapp, both of Auburn. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Imogene LaRowe; and two brothers, Elden Knapp and Ivan Knapp. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Farmer Cemetery,. Farmer, Ohio, with the Rev. Duane Grady officiating. Memorials may be directed to Northeast Indiana Habitat for Humanity.
