Dale was born on September 6, 1935 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of Asa and Florence (Young) Jenson. He was baptized on April 12, 1936 in Glendale Presbyterian Church, and was confirmed on May 21, 1950 at Underwood Lutheran Church, Underwood, IA. Dale was born on September 6, 1935 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of Asa and Florence (Young) Jenson. He was baptized on April 12, 1936 in Glendale Presbyterian Church, and was confirmed on May 21, 1950 at Underwood Lutheran Church, Underwood, IA. He attended country school and graduated from Underwood High School in 1954. Dale attended Dana College in Blair, NE and graduated in 1958. Dale was united in marriage to Charlotte Sorensen on May 30, 1958 in Blair, NE and they were blessed with four sons. He attended Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA, graduated in May, and was ordained into the ministry in August 1962. He served parishes in Hunter/Gardner, ND; Porter, MN; rural Estherville, IA; Melvin, IA; Thor, IA; and Shelby/Persia, IA. He also served as a chaplain in the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville, IA for 7 years and was involved in Hospice for 25 years. Dale enjoyed visiting with people everywhere he went. He enjoyed camping, bicycling, fishing, reading, visiting the Oregon coast, working on his computer, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Charlotte; three sons, Robert (Arlene) Jenson of Watertown, SD, Douglas (Sharie) Jenson of Sioux Falls, SD, and David (Sandra) Jenson of Sibley, IA; daughter-in-law Jennifer Jenson of Glendale, IA; brother, Asa Orrin (Ione) Jenson, Jr.; and six grandchildren: Kristin, Christian, Timothy, Mark, Sarah, and Stephen.
