Description	:	David M Oliver was born in Washington county, PA. according to his obituary. While there are several Ancestry family trees that have listed David with a middle name of "Milton", none of those entries appear to be supported by census or other documentation; at best those other sources list only the middle initial as "M", but without a full spelling out of what that initial stands for. It may be that someone entered "Milton" as the middle name for their family tree based on other sources, but what those sources are don't show up in the various trees found... At this time, the middle initial for this memorial will remain as "M". Any clear-cut documentation as to where the "Milton" name came from would be welcomed. Although the obituary for David put in "sr" after his name, that designation is not found on his headstone inscription, nor does it appear in any census reports that this contributor has seen. Usually 'sr' or 'Sr' is found on certain census reports for other people, so the lack of it in reference to this David M Oliver should be considered by family researchers. There is a listing for David on Ancestry.com that lists parents, but those names are not confirmed by this contributor or by any Jefferson county genealogy sources, so am hesitant to list their names at this point. Married Jane Towne Oliver (a/k/a Charlotte Jane or Jane Charlotte) about 1848, possibly in Washington county, PA as well.
