Description	:	Dorothy B. Cathcart, 95, of Topeka, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 7, 2003, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. Dorothy was born July 20, 1908, near Silver Lake, the daughter of John W. Reamer and Mary S. Rogers Reamer. Her early years were spent on her parents farm. She attended school near her home, graduating from Silver Lake High School and Stricklers Business College. Dorothy was born July 20, 1908, near Silver Lake, the daughter of John W. Reamer and Mary S. Rogers Reamer. Her early years were spent on her parents farm. She attended school near her home, graduating from Silver Lake High School and Stricklers Business College. Before her marriage she worked at an insurance company in Topeka. She married Melvin Cathcart on March 18, 1933. He died May 2, 1982. All of her life was spent in the rural areas near Topeka with the last seven years at Aldersgate Village. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Before her marriage, she was a member of the North Topeka Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, five brothers, a great-granddaughter, a son-in-law, Ray Osborn, and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cathcart. She is survived by four sons, Charles and his wife, Jan, of Prineville, Ore., John and his wife, Jo, of Americus, Ronald and his wife, Roseanne, of Lakeland, Fla., and David and his wife, Kathleen, of Holton; three daughters, Doris Osborn, of Ponca City, Okla.; Lavera Guinn and her husband Dean, of Ottawa, and Evelyn Herring and her husband, Eugene, of Ozawkie; 27 grandchildren; 46 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cathcart will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery.
