Description	:	Dorothy Elizabeth Fusselman Vallier was born in Kansas City, Mo., on April 24, 1916. She was the oldest daughter born to Clyde E. and Ellie (Fisher) Fusselman. Soon after birth, her parents moved to Canton, Ill. At the age of three years, Dorothy moved with her parents to Nauvoo, Ill., where she lived until her marriage to Floyd A. Vallier, of Council Bluffs on October 13,1946. They made their home in Council Bluffs, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. Floyd passed away on January 21,1997. She was the oldest daughter born to Clyde E. and Ellie (Fisher) Fusselman. Soon after birth, her parents moved to Canton, Ill. At the age of three years, Dorothy moved with her parents to Nauvoo, Ill., where she lived until her marriage to Floyd A. Vallier, of Council Bluffs on October 13,1946. They made their home in Council Bluffs, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. Floyd passed away on January 21,1997. Dorothy moved to Independence, Mo., in 2004 to live at The Fountains Assisted Living Center, to be close to her sister Mildred Crown. Dorothy graduated with honors from Nauvoo High School in 1934. She attended McComb Illinois State Teachers College for two years and received a certificate to teach school. She taught for ten years before her marriage and continued to teach for another 25 years in Council Bluffs. She continued her education at UNO graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Preceding Dorothy in death besides her husband Floyd; were her parents; brother, Paul Truman Fusselman; and her younger sister, Edith Mae Livingston. Left to mourn are one sister, Mildred Louise Crown; one brother-in-law, Glenn Livingston, both of Independence; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Lee Killpack and Gary Argotsinger, officiants. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
