She was born March 10, 1907, in Junction City, the daughter of Frank and Carrie Butts Mayden. She grew up in Junction City and was graduated from Washburn University in 1929. She lived in Iola 31 years before she moved to Topeka in 1981. She was a teacher in Iola public schools before she retired in 1964. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Salem Chapter No. 4of Order of Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution, all in Iola, and the Kansas National Educational Association. She was married to Arthur M. Errickson July 28, 1935, in Junction City. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Eric Errickson, Cambridge, Minn.; a daughter, Sonja Franklin, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Florence Freeman and Marjorie White, both of Junction City, and five grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed. memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Topeka Chapter, Box 1427, 66601.
