Buress Jr., 62, Topeka, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1993, at his home. Dr. Buress was a chiropractor in Tulsa for five years in the 1960's before coming to Topeka where he practiced until he retired in 1990. He was also a jitney operator for the Santa Fe shops in Topeka in the late 1040's. He was born June 27, 1931, in Silver Lake, the son of Drew D. and Ina Ball Buress. He served in the Korean War. After the war he was graduated from the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Mo., in 1959. He was married to Delores Thomas June 9, 1957, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his stepmother, Ruth Buress, Topeka; a niece, Linda McNeece, Topeka; and a nephew, Randy Hummer, Topeka. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
