She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Council Bluffs to Morris and Emma (Hansen) Clausen. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1930 and lived in Council Bluffs most of her life. She and her husband, John, owned Omaha Wholesale Florist, where she was office manager and bookkeeper. She also worked at Fred L. Lainson Greenhouses in Council Bluffs for many years. Schroeder, 91 of Council Bluffs, Died May 28, at her home of pancreatic cancer. She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Council Bluffs to Morris and Emma (Hansen) Clausen. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1930 and lived in Council Bluffs most of her life. She was of the Lutheran faith. Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Howard Clausen. She and her husband have been married for 71 years. Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Barbara Hough and husband How-ard, and Elaine Russell and husband, George, all of Council Bluffs; five granddaughters, Amy Miller and husband, Larry, of Silver City, Lea Ann Voss and husband, Robin, of Underwood, Lisa Sterba and husband, Roger, and Elizabeth Heithoff, all of Council Bluffs; and Amy Russell of Van-couver, British Columbia; two grandsons, Nathan Heithoff of Iowa City and Patrick Russell of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. George Megard of Lu-theran Church of the Master officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alegent Hospice. The Daily Nonpareil, Council Bluffs, May 31, 2004
