Preceded in death by his mother, Amy Carpenter, and brother, Jerry Carpenter, he is survived by children, Vinnie Carpenter Hayes and Eddie, Randy, Tabitha and Elizabeth Carpenter; father, Frazier Carpenter; four grandchildren; sister, Brenda Isley; brother, Verlin Carpenter, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral was held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home of Mooresburg with Rev. Richard Green and Rev. Truman Coffey officiating.
