He attended school at St. Bonaventure's and was a lifetime resident of this community. At the time of his death, he was a shirt maker at the Short Manufacturing Company of Columbus. He was married to Frances Podgurski, November 6, 1934, at St. Anthony's church, Columbus. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic church. Mr. Briggs is survived by his parents; one daughter, Rosemary of Columbus; one son, Robert of Tacoma, Wash. three brothers, Leonard of Fremont, Milton and Louis of Columbus; and two sisters, Mrs. H. D. Mitchell of Pacific Grove, Calif., and Mrs. Douglas McLean of Oakland, Calif.
