Description	:	Died at her home near Corning, June 30, 1915, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Coleman, aged 64 years, 8 months, and 8 days. Mrs. Coleman was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, October 22, 1850. She was the daughter of John and Savilla Ann Bixler. She came with her parents to Adams County in 1854. On November 22, 1874, she was married to Henry E. Coleman and to this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters. The husband and two sons and one daughter survive. Read More	Died at her home near Corning, June 30, 1915, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Coleman, aged 64 years, 8 months, and 8 days. Mrs. Coleman was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, October 22, 1850. She was the daughter of John and Savilla Ann Bixler. She came with her parents to Adams County in 1854. On November 22, 1874, she was married to Henry E. Coleman and to this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters. The husband and two sons and one daughter survive. The children are John Emery, of Turtle River, Minnesota; Mrs. Lura Effie Bowden of Sikes, Montana; and Allen Edward, who is living at home. Mrs. Coleman also leaves five grandchildren, two sisters, and four brothers. Her sisters are Isabella Markley and Mrs. Louisa Hoyt, both of Corning. The brothers are Burr Bixler of Madison, Tennessee; Jake T. Bixler, Hitchcock, South Dakota; John and Rev. R. A. Bixler, both of Corning, Iowa. At the age of 18, Mrs. Coleman was converted and joined the Methodist Church. She remained in that church until the second Advent Church was organized at Highland, when she became a charter member there and has been an ardent Adventist ever since and a faithful worker in the church until her illness. The funeral services were conducted by Harvey H. Deaton in the Highland Church and she was laid to rest in the Nodaway Cemetery. Adams County Free Press,, July 7, 1915, page 4
