Description	:	Mrs. Isabell Markley Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Villisca Advent Christian Church for Mrs. Harriet Isabell Bixler Markley who died Sunday morning at the Booe Nursing Home. The services were conducted by the Rev. W. S. Bowden of Mineral, Illinois, former pastor at Villisca, and the Rev. Joe Tom Tate of Villisca, and in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Flossie Narigon and Mrs. Vera Bixler. The singing was by Mrs. Helen Penwell and Mrs. Frances Gray, accompanied by Mrs. Joe Tom Tate. The pall bearers were Arthur Bixler, Carl Bixler, Ned Hoyt, Virgil and John Narigon, and Allen E. Coleman. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery beside the husband of the deceased. Mrs. Markley was born north of Nodaway, January 2, 1859 and was 89 years old at her death. In her childhood she moved with her parents to Brooks and later to the Highland vicinity where she was married January 25, 1882 to Jacob Markley, who died in 1931. Mr. and Mrs. Markley resided in Kansas several years, returning to Adams County where they lived until they moved to Villisca 22 years ago. Mrs. Markley was a member of the Advent Christian Church. She had twelve brothers and sisters, only one brother and sister surviving her. They are Mary Louisa Hoyt of Hamilton, Montana, and Jacob T. Bixler of Hitchcock, South Dakota.
