Elizabeth (Barnhouse) Tripp, daughter of Samuel and Susanna Barnhouse, was born near Perrysville, Ohio, June 15, 1850, and died March 18, 1910, aged 59 years, 9 months, and 3 days. She was united in marriage with Joseph R. Tripp of Carroll County, February 17, 1881, which union was blessed with two children, Lula Maud and Alice Blanche. When about 17 years of age she united with the M. E. Church of Perrysville, and later transferred her membership to the M. P. Church of Palermo, of which she continued a faithful member to the end. Deceased leaves a devoted husband, two daughters, one step daughter, four grandchildren and a host of relatives to mourn the loss of her departure. She was a devoted Christian and her hopes of heaven grew brighter and brighter to the last. Funeral services conducted by her pastor, Rev. T. J. West, after her remains were laid in the Palermo Cemetery to await the resurrection. (NOTE--her obituary states she was born in 1850, but her headstone has 1852)
