M. Shea, the deputy county clerk, was married to Miss Nellie Fenlon, one of the favorites of the place. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father McMenomy of this city, assisted by the Rev. Father Hund of Neola. The happy couple were attended by Mr. Thomas Fenlon, brother of the bride, and Miss Josie Shea, sister of the groom. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents in York township, not far from the city. There were a large number of guests present from Neola and the surrounding country. Among those from this city were: Mrs. D. J. O'Neill, Mr. and Mrs. U. H. White, Miss Mary Paschel, Miss Maggie Taylor, Mrs. Fox, Mrs. McMenomy, Mr. and Mrs. N. O'Brien, Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Wickham, Miss Angie Wickham, Miss Tudie Wickham, Mrs. J. Sullivan, Miss Nellie Wickham, Thomas Hughes. The newly wedded ones will at once take up their residence on Seventh avenue in this city. Mr. Shea has only resided here since his entering upon the duties of his office, but has added during this time many friends and is held in the highest esteem by all. He and the worthy bride he has thus won will be heartily welcomed here.
